There’s more than one, and I think they’re both female. Very friendly and happily coming and going like they’re paying the mortgage themselves 😂

Winner.
Our new house has come with a cat.
All name suggestions welcome.
Looks like it's standard on all Irish models from a quick look. I don't mind the rear light bars & emblems, but not a fan of any extra lighting on the front of a car.
I think it's part of a certain light package / trim level. I think.
A black Volkswagen ID.4 in the snow on 18” wheels with A/T tyres.
A red Volkswagen ID.4 in a forest on 18” wheels with A/T tyres.
Volkswagen’s ID.4 Baja on 18-inch wheels and huge A/T tyres.
We’ve just bought our first (and hopefully last) home, so I can finally have home charging and make the transition to EV in the near future.
Naturally, I’ve already lost the run of myself and have ruined the car before I’ve decided if it’s even the one I might buy.
I’m not sure, to tell you the truth.
Tragically, I would usually just google Speedhunters + my name to browse my old archives for nostalgia sake. I won’t be doing that again 😂
I don’t think anything I ever wrote was that good, but I do regret not saving some of the adventures I documented (Road to Worthersee, Gatebil, 24HRs in Tokyo etc.)
They would just have been nice to have to look back on. I guess I never thought the site would be left lapse.
The features? No. I was writing 20+ features a month at one point, didn’t even cross my mind that I’d need hard copies.
Have pretty much all of the photos, but not many of the written features saved.
On a list, at the very least.
Driver was visibly covered in kangaroo. Absolutely brutal.
Well, if that’s not the most unusual retirement I’ve seen in a very long time.
The lone Mustang hit a Kangaroo on Conrod Straight at 250km/h in near darkness at the start of the Bathurst 12HR. Driver okay, but he probably needs a shower…
RIP Skippy
Just a reminder that the endurance race with the best opening laps is starting in about 90 minutes on YouTube (Bathurst 12HR).
That sunrise over the mountain is *chef’s kiss*
A wide aspect ratio photograph of the 2026 Envision Racing Gen3 Evo Formula E car. The car is placed in the pit lane, and the photograph is taken from inside the garage looking out.
I’m currently going through a wide aspect ratio phase, please bear with me.
(16:7 for those curious)
Award for most interesting car in my local supermarket car park goes to…
I’m almost sure it’s a replica, but it doesn’t take away from how cool it is. Also, I know you’d expect a car photographer to take a better photograph, but accompanying little human added another layer of difficulty.
A dark red Jaguar XJ220 sits in profile in front of the fuselage of a jet.
I’ve no idea why we were throwing back to 2016 recently, but I did enjoy looking through what I shot that year. This was a particular unusual day which involved exploring abandoned airplanes, an empty runway and a Jaguar XJ220.
I’m happy to just be an observer now, the cost of everything is crazy. I remember when a *good* GT-R was €6,000 😂
The teal and blue Falken liveried Nissan Silvia S14A of James Deane sits in the corner of a clean workshop. There’s LED top lighting above the car. The foreground features the rear of another drift car.
I will never grow tired of triple-twin spoke wheels. The nostalgia for me is immense, as there was a similar style of wheel fitted to my first favourite drift car, the HKS RS-1.
These are Strom’s RF3 as fitted to James Deane’s S14A. Incidentally, it might be the most successful drift car ever?
Three Volkswagen vehicles are parked side by side in a coastal car park. The sun is beginning to rise on the left hand side of the image, with a warm glow spreading. The vehicle nearest the camera, a purple Tayron SUV, has its boot open. There are two people sitting in the boot with a dog taking in the moment while enjoying a hot drink. They are both dressed in sea swim attire and dry robes.
I'm so proud to work with clients who value real photography in real locations. No AI generated images, no trickery, just lots of planning, permits, early starts and a little bit of luck with the weather.
Recent commercial work for Volkswagen, shot on-location in Co.Dublin late last year.
Thanks, Lou. Always appreciate your words of kindness.
I'm staying positive, but I know that opportunities are always limited in such a small paddock. (Particularly when two major agencies have most of the teams sewn up!)
A Fire Red BMW M5 photographed in profile against a concrete wall. Dramatic natural lighting is complemented with the use of a glass prism which distorts & exaggerates aspects of the car.
I want to really focus on my commercial & editorial automotive work for 2026. I have very strong feelings on the current state of content creation, and would like to try and rally against the idea that content should be disposable.
Also, human creativity > AI, but that's another discussion.
A crop of the first corner of the first lap of the 2025 Monaco ePrix. The frame is filled with Formula E racecars, tightly racing in a colourful pack.
This will be my first time in a long time not being in the Formula E paddock, which feels strange still. I spent four full seasons as a team photographer and enjoyed my time in the championship immensely.
I would love to work in FE again, but understand how unlikely that is.
A Frozen Blue Porsche Macan Electric SUV sits in front of the silhouette of the Comeragh Mountains. The night sky is full with stars and the occasional streak of a satellite. Clouds are faintly beginning to roll in. The car is illuminated with an unseen light source from above. The lights the environment in front of it with its headlights. Behind the car, vegetation is illuminated red from its taillights.
I've been on a bit of a following spree lately, so thought it would be polite to re-introduce myself.
I'm an Irish photographer that specialises in automotive & motorsport. I like to tell stories through photography, video & writing. I try my best to be a better person everyday.
Tabhair aire.
The ultimate 180SX? Probably.
Photographed for James Deane Motorsports, and my last shoot of 2025 🫡
Cheers!
Celebrating the winter solstice with Porsche.
Same marshalls who took a calendar month to get to Pascal last season…
800HP, 700kW re-gen, AWD with active differentials, unlimited TCS & ABS systems with high and low downforce bodywork options.
The Gen4 FE car will undoubtedly be fast, and hopefully it retains the current car's ability to race & overtake.
