Gave a talk at @ox.ac.uk last week and the post talk questions have been circling in my head ever since! One issue I've realised is more challenging than I first considered is how we experimentally demonstrate marketing actually causes real behavioural change! Not intentions or click rates!
2 x full-time teaching associate roles in psychology at the University of Nottingham.
One role is for a fixed-term contract for 18 months from 1 April 2026 and the second role is for a fixed-term contract ending on 31st July 2027.

4οΈβ£ Big Five Personality traits and demand characteristics didn't predict the size of the AC effect. However, females showed a slightly stronger AC effect than males.
3οΈβ£ Cue-competition effects (i.e., whether participants were presented with cues/CSs individually or together) had minimal impact on the AC effect.
2οΈβ£ The effect generalised to other attributes: participants paired with healthy foods were also seen as more athletic, educated, and organisedβbut, interestingly, less humorous than those paired with unhealthy foods.

1οΈβ£ We demonstrated an Attribute Conditioning (AC) effect using the attribute of healthiness: people paired with healthy foods (π) were rated as healthier than those paired with unhealthy foods (π©).
