Some facts:
● Connolly pleaded guilty.
● Her appeal failed in May and her sentence was upheld. (See image on the right)
● She's only been released because she's served 40% of her sentence and that's the automatic release point.
● It says everything about our press that they're siding with her
The business secretary Jonathan Reynolds says the racist protesters intimidating asylum seekers in Epping are "upset for legitimate reasons.”
I don't remember any Labour frontbencher saying the same about people protesting the genocide in Gaza. On the contrary, they've criminalised peaceful dissent.
Are Private Eye jokes now... criminal?
PALESTINE Solidarity campaigner Jon Farley was arrested during a silent march in Leeds last weekend. What egregious act had prompted the police to act? He was, er, carrying a Private Eye joke piece as a placard!
