I don’t remember the 1975 series but I would find it so interesting if any channel did something similar. I studied European history at Alevel in the 1960s so know how entwined Britain has been for centuries.

One of the best aspects of retirement is being able to sit in bed in the morning with a mug of strong coffee listening to @BBCRadio3 @PetrocTrelawny. It feels very civilised to greet the day slowly rather than leaping out in a rush.
