Swearing, feminism, lefty, eco, argumentativeness, home education, science, public engagement with science. Occasional pedantry. And maybe some menopause jokes. I failed to copy over my contacts from the other place. I’ve not ditched you on purpose.

ADHD women of ‘a certain age’, you really need to know about this.
NOW WE DO, ANYWAY
WE KNOW
the creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to stop doing culture wars about which one should go on the banknotes
Well that rollicking longread about Andrew and Fergie is every bit as good as everyone said it is www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...
He badged a little. Not all the time.
Thank you. This has really made so much sense to me. And explained something that annoyed me but I couldn’t fully understand why.
Great to hear it. It sounds like much-needed research.
I was probably being a bit prickly bcos I’m so fed up of gov and institutional assumption that school is the best place for every child.
I think what a lot of parents would love is an easier ‘semi-detached’ relationship with formal schooling.
You’re in illustrious company, at least. But how very galling.
My grandad helped defeat fascism in Europe. Does he get on the £5 note?

The front cover of a book:- CHESTER PARSONS is NOT a GORILLA By MARTYN FORD The picture is mostly a large shadow silhouette of a gorilla, which appears to be coming from the outline of a boy with messy hair. At the bottom of the page, lots of cameras and microphones are pointing at the boy/gorilla.
Sorry for the late reply, but I just thought of this one.
I'm one of many professors quoted in this report from Alice Speri. I really appreciate The Guardian taking an angle which has basically eluded every other major outlet.
