The term ‘competitive gamers’ is a false nomenclature. A game in which there is a winner and loser is in its very nature competitive. Ergo all AoS players that partake in match play would be competitive.
How many match play events have you attended in which you had these experiences?
Those ‘types of folks’ don’t generally play in tournaments. I’ve found tournament players to be a lot more forthcoming regarding interactions and rules.
