This made my day!
I'm the Black Stapler. I will tidy your papers, but if you are a villain, I will fail to puncture completely through the stack.

In NY it is illegal to fire someone for lawful political activity. Where else?
Being smug is not against the law and it certainly does not warrant the death penalty.
I was explaining to employees how no tax on overtime actually works and someone said to me, "but President Trump said that we would be getting a refund on all the taxes we paid on OT." Lol.
Look how young! I never got to see the Sex Pistols, but I saw PIL many times. Johnny is one of the most dynamic performers I've seen.
I think that the author has talent, but lacks maturity and depth.
The most terrifying book I've ever read - and I am not easy to scare.

Heartbroken at the passing of my sweet Elli, aka The Peanut and the goodest girl ever. She loved backgammon, doing payroll, reading, and me. I will miss her every day. #catsofbluesky

Storygraph for November. Kinda light, but I had a lot going on this month. Hard to concentrate.

Forgot to post my October books. For posterity.
Cranky message for the day. To liquor store cashiers and restaurant servers - it's not adorable when you say to me, "are you sure you're over 21?" I'm 59 years old. I do not think for one second that you think that I look like I'm under 30. And frankly, it feels patronizing and infantilizing.
Can confirm this is a great read.
This is exactly what we have been talking about in our pantry committee meetings - the community is going to get tapped out. Fund raisers and food drives will be less and less effective. We are trying to unite the pantries and combine efforts, so we at least aren't competing with each other.
The theme song is what drew me in to watch Buffy and I became a big fan.
I feel your pain.
