"Step-by-step it turned out it wasn't just a regular sponsorship - it was a takeover and the killing of a club," described Harry of a very painful time for those involved. "At the time, in 2005, the club was struggling in the top-tier of the Austrian game and Red Bull, who we prefer not to talk about, came in as a global company from the Salzburg area. Initially we were delighted, with thoughts of the money coming in and playing in Europe. We were hopeful."
As David added though: "In the first few days and weeks we thought it would be a great thing happening to our club, but after initial talks we recognised more and more that they were not interested in the club - they were just interested in our operating license to start with their club in the top division. "That's what they said - there's no history, nothing else, it's a new club. From that point on it was a terrible feeling - like a member of your family was dying. Our only possibility was to reform the club."

Difficult when we're 10% owned by an organisation that actively pushes right wing propaganda. If they voice their racism at the ground then they should be banned. The problem is the normalisation of racist language in society over the last decade has empowered many to be more open in their racism
