I want to add that this game, foundationally, engages with the concept of "Limited time" in a way that is smart, inventive, and makes it so you can play this game more than once and it feel wildly different just because you approached the space differently.

This build was going pretty whatever, but then the cult showed up.
They gave me the Eye and a Shiny Rocket Launcher to go with it, and that's how I was powering it for most of the run. This turned out to be a little bit faster in the end, though.

As for your actual question: I'm enjoying the game quite a bit (playing ~1 run per day). I took a break for a few months, and now they've released some new stuff and I'm back. I like the little fictional world they've built, and the auto-battle mechanics are just complex enough. I like the design.
You buy the game for one price, which gives you the first three characters and all their cards and everything. The three newer characters are sold separately. There's no packs or anything else to buy, and no limit on your runs. You still earn gems playing, and they just buy cosmetics now.
