I can't help but feel that this is Trump trying to make himself look reasonable. In reality, he's doing this as the only way he can send ICE elsewhere without ICE looking like they're running away.

I don't feel ready to call this a victory yet. They might just have realized that they don't have enough agents to keep the pressure high enough for a successful operation. I am afraid that they're only doing this to free up agents to send elsewhere.

I feel like Bovino is only getting fired because he wasn't successful *enough* for Trump's liking. (Also, he was constantly mocked for his height, which does not inspire fear like Trump / DHS want.)

Trump is sending Tom Homan here tomorrow. He's the border czar. He's not preferable to Bovino.
