I did too. But then I did fall for Fetterman after that - somehow missed the racism during the main and thought he was a good guy. And really, I fell for his wife and made the mistake of thinking she told me a lot about him.

Mom to young adults and pets, and trying to create good lives for them as we humans send ourselves into the apocalypse. Hopeless today, hopeful tomorrow. Rinse, repeat. Living in and loving but not from Delco PA (you can’t fake it).

I struggle with this. Andy Weir's books are gobblers for me (if you like realistic scifi). Project Hail Mary, The Martian. TJ Klune is also easy to read and super engaging for more magical stories. Agree Backman pulls you in.
I like glassified!

Multifocal is ok for me for walking around, but not reading or working at the computer. So I switch between glasses all day, and often take them off and hold documents 3 inches from my face for tiny text. It's annoying but no other solution has presented itself. (Well, non-surgical.) Good luck!

Inhumane, cruel, un-American, illegal. Our government is getting off on it. If you're not enraged, why the hell not?
I'm actually glad to realize that my rage about these illegal and unnecessarily cruel actions isn't lessening.
Today, Minneapolis had their annual Powderhorn Art Sled Rally. A community organized event that this time featured de-Icer sleds and bowling pins named for world leaders.
A very Minnesotan way to protest ICE. 😍🙌🏻
Abolish Ice!

This is amazing, although the idea of a drug that keeps my brain stem awake is a little creepy.
Sheesh, it's Monday. Not bird feeder. Bird bath.
So pretty. For some reason I interpreted the scale all wrong when I first saw this, and I briefly thought it was a bird feeder. And now I want a bird feeder that looks like this.
Thank you, Mr Chairman.

Delco came out in Media today. #fuckice #gobirds
another angle! gives me goosebumps ! www.instagram.com/reel/DTRfBgA...
This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.
Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”
Really listen to it.

Beckett hopes your day improved. I am getting on his last nerve by delaying bedtime.
A cream colored sweater with a bear on it. The bear is wearing a sweater and hat and carrying a bag, all of which have unintelligible writing on them.
That is a most excellent dress. My daughter shopped for my son there, and he received a slinky leopard pattern dress with a slit up past the hip and this fine sweater with mystery text. The sweater fits his gf nicely. It gives us great joy.
We don't see them so often here in PA but sure do love them. So dang cute.
They* added it in 2020. ❤️ cesium.com/blog/2020/12...
Ok *we*, I’m in the photo at the bottom of the page 🙃
When we moved into our house, my neighbor told me her husband shovels and rakes for our mutual elderly neighbor. The husband became unwell this year, and recently I realized my teen son took over raking and shoveling for both the other houses. I didn’t tell him to. This is just what neighbors do.
😭😬

The reviews say things like “can’t compare to noise cancelling headphones but pretty good and definitely good enough for when you’re exercising” and I think that’s right. I use them for calls, music, books, everything. Certainly better than listening through one ear!
There are multiple styles out there, but I like that the Shokz wrap around your head and when I want to take them off I can just leave them around my neck and don’t ever lose them.
Exactly - this is the reason I chose them. Environmental sound is 0% obstructed. Bone conduction.
Photo of an ear with a red Shokz open ear headphones wrapped around it.
Why not? (Genuine question.) This is me, all day.
And Media might be small, but it’s our county seat and is classic small town USA - shops, restaurants, good schools. An old hardware store! Summer dining outdoors. It competes with Philly for my nights out and is only a short trolley ride away.
