Are you into the digital modes yet or still learning? Personally, I love DStar and DMR. I also have various hotspots for the digital modes and also for AllStar (will explain that one day if you like). Again, congrats on getting into the hobby . . . .

I just love my Skybridge Max from BridgecomSystems....great hotspot for DMR and I will use it for DStar as well...I already redone the micrSD card from the original 32gb down to an 8gb microSD card....easy process...

Thought I replied to this but don't see it - anyway DMR is great . . and also DStar as well. If you don't have a lot of local repeaters, get a mmdvm hotspot since they work great. Let me know if you need assistance - by the way - what's your call sign?
