This is clearly directed at an audience of two specific people, but that doesn't make it any better. He's a monster whether he sincerely believes this or not. The damage is the same.

No, you guys, this makes perfect sense. Obviously the unarmed combat skill issue is holding the FBI back. I mean how many brawls did Mulder ever win on the X-Files?
The faster this year goes, the faster we can get to the other side of our current nonsense.
The flipside of that is that we're all getting older and probably missing out on good things on the way, and that really pisses me off.
The other lesson, of course, is that the US shouldn't be such a raging jackass bully. But again, here we are.
The screaming, neon-sign-obvious lesson of every geopolitical crisis in my lifetime is that we have to get off oil. Every single time. We have alternatives. They aren't perfect, but they don't have to be.

key questions for journalists to ask: did the military consider any of the risks to human life or the environment when bombing an oil facility in/near a city of close to 10 million? if US did it, was it a result of hegseth's rejection of the law of war?

The tragedy of ttrpgs is that if you really want to play any given game, you'll probably have to be the one to run it. This is doubly true for any game that isn't D&D.
Which is all to say I really want to play Outgunned! but sadly I may have to run it to do so. ☹️
Like I'm definitely legally a veteran. I just didn't get the post-9/11 GI Bill and such because I got out before that.
Does that make a real difference? I served from '94-'98 and got the National Defense Medal while in basic because we were still technically in whatever undeclared-but-still-a-war thing we had with Iraq.
And yes, we all thought that was kind of embarrassing, but they said we had to wear it.
Hegseth needs to stand trial after this as a war criminal. Between this attack and the girls' school, there's no ambiguity. He is responsible for mass murder and must be held accountable.
That doesn't sound like any kind of a serious plan. Funny how that's exactly how this whole mess kicked off in the first place.
Hi, I taught public school for 12+ years.
Teaching hungry students is hell. It's awful for the students, too. It sucks for both sides of that relationship.
And oh yeah letting kids go hungry is cruel.
"Do you support free meals for students?" is a real basic moral litmus test.
