It appears there is a group of Santas doing civil disobedience in downtown Chicago while demanding "a city budget for the money not the few." The Santas want billionaires to get taxed. So say we all.

Montgomery County first made its “Ride On” buses free to all riders under 18 in 2019. Then on June 29, 2025, it made all of its buses fare-free for all passengers. The system has a fleet of nearly 400 buses, 80 routes, and provided 19.2 million rides in the 2025 fiscal year.
Have you been to Urbana? Tbh this doesn’t suprise me although my experience of Urbana is only from that past 5 ish years but it’s essentially where all the most progressive students and faculty at UIUC live
