My sympathy to the parts of the world that numerically express today's date as 14/3. I hope that you do other things for fun.
@charleshbryan
Retiree. My cats run my life. They could do a better job of it, but they're cats. πΈ Also a long-time Detroit Lions fan. I don't blame my cats for that. Hello to any #UglyDogs from the old place. I'm not here to see how many followers I can get.

Oh, Happy Pi Day to all who celebrate. May all your circles be perfect.
I was just thinking about MTV the other day (hey, David Ellison, fix that, huh?).
It was such a complete phenomenon in the 80s and probably had a huge role in driving cable subscriptions, and now it - and cable - just seem like ancient history, casualties in a digital revolution.
We're not used to having a good team try to maintain its status long-term, so from a fan perspective, a lot of these changes might seem like a "window closing", but it's really about just staying competitive. Maybe not Super Bowl-bound, but respectable.
I think you made an excellent point about Brad's desire for "sustainability". I think that we forget that the NFL is structured to make it challenging for teams to build dynasties - salary caps, draft positioning, schedules based on records.
@ben-raven.bsky.social Thanks for the Gladwin shout-out! And, as always, thanks to you, Kory, and Patrick for doing a great podcast.
Many years ago, I was in Malaga, Spain, just walking on a sidewalk in the evening and a young British guy walking towards me looked at me and said "Wanker" and just kept walking. His friends laughed, which was maybe the whole point.
My lights blinked about an hour or so ago, so I checked the map to see what outages were going on. The nearest town to me, population about 2,000, was all out.
Just got a notification that their substation had an explosion! Yeesh! π₯Ά
I kind of think that Tom Izzo is okay losing this guy's fandom.
Wow. I just destroyed my TV in front of 25 guests at my sonβs birthday party because of the Michigan State Spartans. My wife just took our sobbing kids and said theyβre going to her motherβs house. Goodbye, I canβt do this anymore. Iβve been a lifelong fan since 2009 but Iβm done
My God. This is from an actual post at the old place. Sad if true.
Welp, no all Michigan final. Sigh. Izzo's gonna have a hell of a post-game presser.
#GoBlue all the way through.
I heard that song frequently when I was a little one in the 60s, and it popped into my head a few years ago and I had the very same questions.
It's like "Baby, It's Cold Outside". Once you hear the creepiness, you can't unhear it.
Yikes. I've been through this, and it's no fun. I hope that you stay warm and power's restored asap.
My dog accidentally ate a whole bag of scrabble tiles so I took him to the vet, no word yet
I saw a couple of Canada Geese today in central lower Michigan, flying and honking while I shoveled snow. I thought "This winter storm warning weekend is NOT the weekend for coming back!"
The Wolverines scratch out a win, 71-67.
Michigan State plays UCLA at 9 tonight on BTN. I'm rooting for an MSU-UM final. That'd be fun.
Well, shoot, I got busy shoveling snow and didn't realize that the OSU- Michigan game was on, and WTF? The Buckeyes are up 61-60 with 5 mins left? ππ€¬
Much to the relief of Port Charles, I'm guessing, unless he did some hero turn before checking out.
Immediately thought of the St. Elsewhere finalΓ©.
Anyway, another good episode that was over too soon.
Ha. I thought that I recognized the actor who plays "Duke" in tonight's episode of The Pitt, but I wasn't sure, so I did a little IMDB search and he played creepy Cyrus on General Hospital! (He might still play him; haven't watched in a while.)
I kind of thought that it was Thomas Haden Church. π€·π»ββοΈ
Crap. Duke, 80-79, Final. Barf. Really thought FSU had a chance with the last shot, but missed.
Ah, well. Time for The Pitt!
I was feeling pretty optimistic when FSU went up by 8 in the second half.
Now Duke's up by 8. Blargh.
Well, of course I'm rooting for Florida State to beat Duke. 44-43 FSU at the half. π€
It'll make up for Miami (Ohio) losing today.
Same!
I'm not going to argue with her having a laser focus, given that dagger stare she always has.
This is only image of him that I want to ever see. It should be his official White House portrait
"And marry a rich creep."
Correction: The Oakland County Sheriff said that one of the guards was knocked unconscious but was pulled out of the situation by other security guards.
Current reports are that the assailant is dead and no one else was hurt. Apparently, the Temple had armed guards that dealt with the situation.
