I think it's very cool that you consider the entire product, but, end of the day, their roles on this is limited, and they've got their reels (for those in jobs that need 'em). The only ones getting rich off of it at this point is Gaiman, WB, & Netflix. 🤷♂️
Another ridiculous interaction between myself and me adultphew.
I'm in pink on the right.
That's fair!
I just can't get behind anything involving him or his enabler wife any longer. And I was a HUGE fan of both -- I've a few of her albums and virtually every iteration of the Sandman books, including the entire run of the monthlies.
You...uh.... might want to rethink supporting Neil Gaiman projects. This article from The New Yorker is pay-walled, so I saved it for just such an occasion...

I was trying to think of the phrase I wanted when writing that, and it hit me later: "Economic storytelling" -- you hear it a lot when film critics discuss, like, your more tightly written scripts.

My choice: An odd one: The CLOSING CREDITS to Castle! By Robert Duncan.

Wow. I did NOT know that trivia. Any of those teams would've been great. The problem was never the actors -- the movie just doesn't quite gel. Script needed another pass...but Woods (whom we now know is a complete a-hole) and Fox were perfect in it.
What name is on that book?!? (Well, close anyway.)

Psych!

TBF, you didn't really explain the joke, you more qualified why you weren't factually correct. In sum: Well done!
"What is your favorite TV show that no one else has seen?"
Don't know if 2 & 4 below are faves, but they're GOOD shows folks, by and large, haven't quite discovered.
Also: Comedy detective series PSYCH. It's got millions of fans, yet most comedy & detective show fans have never even heard of it.
I've several:
- The Good Guys (Bradley Whitford; Colin Hanks - really fun)
- Loudermilk (some people found it thx to Netflix, but still)
- Wonder Falls (it's Joan of Arcadia with an attitude)
- Tuca & Bertie (animated female friends, birds, go thru some sh!t. voices: Tiffany Haddish & Ali Wong)
Bookmarked. Will add to my watch list.

You're thinking too small. Everyone should have pie at all times. Now, then, and every moment in the future.

If you could own any famous musician's instrument, which one would you pick?
(And I don't nab the piano.)

My friend sent me the below meme.
So I looked up the episode.... and the director of that episode is almost a '70sc as you can get (unless Dick Martin had directed).
So then he responded "a '70s vortex!" At which point I MADE a '70s vortex (see next!).
That's a fun one!
Aww. Was always delighted to see her pop up on something -- she was someone who'd guest on LOTS of various '80s shows (Charles in Charge being her only regular primetime series).
Then self indulge where it makes the show stronger or sit with the characters and their feelings so we can really learn to empathize with them, etc.)
No, I agree w/this. I'm not saying excise important stuff, just stop filling it with fluff to make it longer.
Like that first show we see him on, where he gets fired. That scene was, what, 10mins? Him being difficult came across in a MINUTE. Brevity is your friend in storytelling (so that you can👇
Heh. Yeah, and these series ARE basically 6- or 8- or 10-hour movies.
Related: One day, I want to edit down the way-too-long-and-depressing origin of Rocket from GotG3. I seriously believe his whole story could've been done in <10 mins and STILL had the same impact.
The box that it's in tends to be the one i go through a lot (my "random Marvel books" box), which is why it ended up in a bag, that and I had seen other copies (or maybe other glow-in-the-dark books) where the glow wore out over time.
But I very much appreciate the tip!
I had no idea. Guess I haven't thought about it.
They're s/b a Class Action suit brought against them. It's HIGHLY illegal.
Right now I'm having trouble with them -- i can't get into my old account, and Google has no recovery process for people who joined prior to their takeover of YT.
Right. And you have to consider screenwriting (and general writing) structure here, b/c theoretically, if your B, C, & D plots aren't serving your main story or character, there's literally (and literarily) no reason for them.
But I still dug it.😁
