The Tinsel Twist cover color palette results. Reveal tomorrow! 45% for Choice 1: pale orange, red, light purple, dark purple, and a dark slate blue 1% for Choice 2: red, white, green, and gold 45% for Choice 3: dark and light purple, dark and light blue 9% for Choice 4: red, white, pink
These results are based on vibes because I absolutely did not do math to get them. It was a fair split between 1 and 3, which were both good guesses because we did not go with traditional holiday colors!
Here’s a teaser of cute little Ziggy, but TOMORROW see the whole thing!

That's a bummer. It looks like there had been a couple in South Africa up until 2020 and they didn't come back after they cancelled that year.
Oh, that's awesome! Even if you don't want to apply as a guest, come hang out with us! And tell your friends! :D We moved from north Atlanta to Peachtree City a couple years ago and are working on re-growing after the move.
Author Friends, especially speculative fiction, don't forget to put in your application if you're interested in being a guest at Multiverse Con (October 16-18 in Peachtree City, GA).
Our Guests of Honor this year are Jesse J. Holland and MARTHA WELLS (yes, Murderbot).

I understand that!
I've also heard a few people say they've just resubmitted the form multiple times with the same info and got accepted eventually lol
Oh no! I think my problem was my book is technically under an imprint name, which is on the GR listing, but I sent a link to the main pub's website. When I sent the Amazon link that also shows the imprint name it got accepted. I've heard if you email customer service they'll sort you out though.
I had my “rite of passage” rejection from the Goodreads Author Program, but now I’m in and have claimed my profile! 😂🎉
I got HUGE NEWS about my book yesterday.
The publisher decided to move my release up A WHOLE MONTH.
The Tinsel Twist is coming out November 3rd, 2026.
This is amazing for a lot of reasons, including giving me more time before Christmas with my book in the wild for events and stuff!

An agent's guide to THE STRAY SCALES YA Fantasy 87,000 words
Comparison titles. Shrek - If it was set in a world similar to Shrek! The Princess Bride - A spoof of fairy tale tropes like this A Forgery of Fate - A rist taking main character similar to Tru! Little Thieves - With humour similar to this!
Tired of terrorising the sea with her sticky fingers, sea folk Pearl bargains her life for a chance to roam the lands, and with only three months to avoid turning into sea foam, all she has to do is kiss the prince she’s been stalking to avoid such a fate. But when his sea-folk-hunting cousin returns, her simple task becomes a quest of survival as she evades the hunter’s suspicions, stumbling into a deadly conspiracy entangling both land and sea.
First Lines It wasn’t unusual for Pearl to wander into strangers’ homes. But today, she wasn’t interested in their tools, heirlooms or whatever she could snatch into her sack. Even her appetite for the jewels encrusted across the shimmering castles of the deep was but a memory. The truth was, she had a far more pressing matter triumphing over the sea. Themes and Tropes - self discovery - odd friendship - fish out of water - fractured fairy tale - predator x prey? - a fantastical take on the immigrant experience - love and loss - perceptions
Bargaining her life with a witch to explore the lands, a mermaid falls into the depths of a deadly conspiracy entangling both land and sea as she attempts to kiss the prince she's stalked, before sea-foam or his cousin can claim her life.

Event Horizon, First Light, Book 1 25.000 words New Adult Sci-fi Adventure, Space Opera Standalone but Serialized Inspired by Golden Age sci-fi and 90's Star Trek
EVENT HORIZON: THE SYNOPSIS The year is 2568, and humanity has spread itself thin and wide across the galaxy. Less than half a century has passed since the Paradigm Shift, the cataclysmic event that caused the collapse of all large-scale galactic governments--and left thousands of worlds to their own devices. In the ashes of these Empires, the unexpected happened: Humanity rebuilt, and it rebuilt better. It is now 50 years into humanity's Golden Age. A refugee named Yana finds her new, post-scarcity home just as asphyxiating as the ruins of her homeworld. Though all her needs are met, a deep discontentment still brews, despite all attempts to keep it at bay by focusing on her work as an epidemiologist, her pet amoeba, and a quickly crumbling social life. The situation changes when Yana is accidentally recruited into the Galaxy's foremost peacekeeping organization, and realizes it might hold the answers she seeks. Now, with her last shot at happiness on the line, she must either prove her worth to her new employers, or lose all her prospects--for good.
EVENT HORIZON: THE EXCERPTS "In the third deck of the Nomadic Exploration Volunteers’ scout ship Radiant, Yana sat in a waiting room and considered all the decisions that had led her to this point. The old vessel had been quick to work its strange magic on her. From the moment she stepped through the umbilical, a whole new world had welcomed her. A world of history—not the almost desperate remembrances of the Habitat’s Bellerophons and Devapalas and Anansis, not the things that were easy or empowering to remember, but real history, immediate history, written in dents and plasma burns and long sinuous scars in the fuselage. It reminded Yana of something she hadn’t seen in a long time—something she’d escaped, but had come to find herself missing, as if some part of her had craved the simplicity of hardship." "She was standing on a flat platform lined with street lights, floating, island-like, in the darkness; next to her were Rook, and Six, and no-one else. A pipe hung from the unseen ceiling and gently touched down, the now inert transport pod cradled by its curvature. All else was amorphous, suggested though air vibrations and distant, echoing screeches. Storage, the voice had said. Yana knew what the word truly meant. Every station, sooner or later, developed such places. They were the bowels of their artificial worlds, the layers between Layers, the unlit hollows where the extraneous and the unclaimed gathered out of sight and mind."
