I asked my friend what her kid’s hardest thing was. She said he was quitting everything he wasn’t immediately good at. The “learning space” was too uncomfortable.
I cannot relate in any way. 🫠

If we really put the welfare and well-being of children—ALL CHILDREN—first, it would be the first time we’ve ever done such a thing. And it would change everything.
2) When the people you bring in annoy you (inevitable part of community), it’s not enough of a reason to kick them out. You get annoyed, then you ask if they can do snacks next week.
I am astonished by this.
And grateful.
I have some friends in their 70s. I couldn’t march at the statehouse today, so they asked me to make their signs. I’ve learned 8 million things from them, but here’s two:
1) You bring people in by asking them to do a simple thing they’re good at; that way, no one is doing all the work.
