Correction, presumed same bird came close to house and showed well, better than earlier sighting, a lesser whitethroat, a first for garden.
Only my 2nd common whitethroat in our garden this morning. 1st was 5th August 2023. Clearly a good time of year to be looking out for them.

Very sad news the death of Marianne Fairhfull. Followed her since As Tears Go By, North Country Maid, Broken English, Give my Love to London and more. An Evening with Marianne at the V&A was an enlightening and amusing evening. Rest in peace.
