Yep. I've lived in 6 towns/cities in VT in the last 25 years and I could only vote reliably in 2 of them, Burlington and South Burlington, because of absentee ballots. The ones with town meetings were completely inaccessible to me. None of this is right.
Tonight I was at the 1st coalition meeting of multiple disability advocacy groups and disabled activists as we fight to get voting access for ALL Vermonters. Right now we rank at the very bottom of access nationally. There is still so much damn work to do.

A lot of people I care about were in S. Burlington yesterday and the way they were treated by enforcement was immoral to its core. Friends in elected office were also there so my hope (probably naive) is masked, un-IDed troops who teargassed and shot rubber bullets will be held accountable. Fuck 🧊

There were three state senators there who were right in the middle of it and they are all working to get the head of VSP into the statehouse tomorrow to answer for the behavior of several officers today
Friends who were there are all home. The stories are horrible. ICE definitely pulled masks off of observers so they could spray them right in the face. Plenty of VSP with masks on and no IDs
