Not saying I disagree with you, I just understand locking in a character for a lot of the game and not really being given an incentive to switch later on.
Tbf, imo, the game doesn't really give you a good reason to switch unless it's early in the match. The perks really give a lot of power to most characters.
Having to build up a different character from the ground up against a team of likely maxed out characters is difficult and it's worth depends.

I just don't wanna go back to people constantly dogging on NEO TWEWY for it's apparent "destruction of the original work", when the direct translation is boring as fuck.
If you have an issue with Shoka saying "Later Losers" and think it's some war on the writers, you genuinely need help.
I do hate seeing this localization/translation debate brought up, especially when the examples used are hilariously non-applicable. Dragon Quest, as little of it as I've played, has incredibly charismatic writing in it's english versions so it's interesting to me that it's DQ's creator saying this.
it's "funny" that this article is going to be used by the most annoying people in the world as proof that human translators go too far and should all be replaced by AI when the complaint is specifically about word-for-word translations that don't go far enough
