Almost 25 years ago, the cost of gas doubled overnight, going up 'temporarily' It never went all.the way back down. Since then, whenever it does go below $3 per gallon in PA (like last weekend), our government has attacked some oil-related country. We've attacked 3 since December.
Not that media or government is talling about it, but there's a strong #Covid19 outbreak from the Mid-Atlantic to the Northeast of US. It is outpatient level, mild to moderate. People don't bother going to the doctor anymore for it, so it is undercounted.
Now that's 'living mas'.
Its a great feeling to see both the men's and women's #USAhockey teams win at the #WinterOlympics. The men's team hasn't won since 'the miracle'.

In a defeat for #antiintellectuals and #ignoratti, the top box office hit ofnthe weekend was the 10th or so adaptarion of #EmilyBronte's 179 year old novel, #WutheringHeights. And no, it did not star Bad Bunny and Lindsay Vaughn.

The Winter Olympics Ceremony are a nice break from the usual media; the TV is showing people around the world getting along and partying together.

We are doing fine in the Northeast. Except for the places where no one plowed, and people doing minimal digging themselves. And the days of 4 to 17 F making even the local-born feel sick. Should 'warm' up this week.

MLK day reflection: about 11% of people in the USA currently self-identify as multiracial. It is not just due to more interracial relationships, but also more acceptance of one's mixed heritage (and findings from all those geneology websites). Societal approval of interracial marriages is at 96%.
