I hate managed care requirements. If someone needs residential substance use disorder treatment for over half a year, one year, or even two years, then it should be covered. Insurance should not be able to practice any sort of medicine or make any diagnosis or treatment plan itself. Ugh.
I think it should be free. I can only imagine how many people's lives are ruined because they cannot afford treatment.
