I still need to watch the Rebuilds, but I agree with the fundamental premise broadly. It's been obvious for a while that shipping removes our ability to understand characters. It's been an issue for lots of games and anime. I wish we had more takes like this for other media.

For big companies it's really not even really expensive for them to make a project union.

It's more about agreeing to protection terms for workers and actors that they're avoiding. Not cost.

I started playing the second Paranormasight. The first one was really good and made me really interested in the sequel. Only made a bit of progress because it's late. Will probably only play a few hours each day because of work.

Sometimes I forget that's a thing I can do. And like obviously I should do that for mundane conversations or if something needs to be repeated, but I'm forgetful.

11. Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo - 8/10

The only real complain I have is that the method of advancing the plot can be really obtuse at times, and I needed to a guide to get the final ending. Besides that, it's a great text adventure game I'd highly recommend to fans of the genre.

The visual style of the game is great, using a unique anime style with thick outlines, and a muted color palette to fit the horror theme. The music was also great and really fit the the vibe of the game. There was a surprising amount of variety to it.

Despite only being 15 hours long, it's a dense game with lots of twists and turns. And it comes together surprisingly well, tying up all of the mysteries nicely. The majority of its cast also gets a conclusion to their own character arc, which are really well done despite how quick the game is.

This game has multiple perspectives and a horror theme that make it stand out among others in the genre. It makes great use of the cursed stones, which gives each characters an ability to commit supernatural murder. The way the game uses supernatural elements is really well-thought out.

Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo

When it comes to text adventure games, I have no idea why this game isn't frequently talked about alongside Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, and Zero Escape. Because this was a great game with a satisfying narrative.

Every time it comes up I just gotta remind people that it's extremely expensive to license filming in Shibuya, which the team making this game couldn't afford, so they filmed this game by stealing shots and running from the cops.

Not even just with Trails. Not sure there is any specific character people associated with me. Doesn't help my profile pic is my OC. Years ago when I waifu posted all the time, things were different and people did associate me with a specific character. But not anymore probably.

I don't think I have one of these. Feels weird to me to obsess over one character instead of just liking the cast broadly.

So I stayed up until 4 AM to finish Paranormasight. That was a good ass text adventure game. Too tired to review so I'll do it tomorrow. It honestly makes me wanna play the sequel ASAP.

So in the end, 0 dollars spent and I have 99 cents left on my gift card. What a pain in the ass for this dogshit company. Definitely am not renewing my pro membership, and I only wanted to use my last 5 dollar coupon plus my remaining gift card balance.

I found a stupid workaround. If I select to buy with paypal, it allows me to add one gift card before it glitches and forces me to validate address. So I just did that for two of the games, then made a separate purchase for the other game to pick up in store nearby.

It's dysfunctional in ways I cannot fathom. It let me order without putting in the gift card since it won't let me add a payment method until I validate the address. If the address is not valid, why would it let me order? I had to cancel right away.

It makes a suggestion for a correction, but even when I select this, nothing happens. It's an endless loop of nothing happening, and I can't even make it to the payment method section where I enter the gift card. Absolutely fuck Gamestop and this dysfunctional website.

I'm trying to buy something on the gamestop website and the website literally does not function in a way that makes buying these games impossible. Some of these are only available online. It says my address can't be validated even though it's objectively correct.

Was planning to beat Paranormasight today, but I've been playing Endfield all day, catching up to as much as possible. Completed the launch main story, now I need to build my factories in Wuling. This will likely take a while. Will definitely beat Paranormasight by tomorrow.
