Black and white photo of a white young man and white young woman playing chess across a table with white lace table cloth. Facing the camera is another white young man who is watching the game with a shorthaired tuxedo tabby kitten in his lap. The kitten also appears to be watching the game.

A very old, lone oak, dripping in epiphytes, overhangs a river in Killarney NP.

Just as the tree reflects off the water, so is it a living reflection of a precious rainforest ecosystem that has been, and continues to be, grazed to oblivion.

Something *must* give here.

A couple are talking in a book-filled room. She has a speech bubble reading “I have an idea: let’s make a pact that neither of us will buy another book until we’ve read a few more of the ones that we already own. The books are taking over!”.
He replies “I hear what you’re saying.” But we can see his thought bubble which overlaps her speech bubble in such a way that it highlights the words “Let’s buy more books”.

You can't force someone to care about you. But you CAN force them to the bottom of the river by tying a cement block to their foot.

Most of the Charities Amendment Act comes into force 5 Oct 2023; affecting every registered charity in Aotearoa NZ.

We are pleased to support Sue Barker's work outlining in simple terms the issues that all charities need to know. #SeedTheChange #Charity #Law

You do not need an EasyVote Card to vote.

You do not even need to be enrolled and you do not need to take identification with you when you go to vote.

If you are a NZer over the age of 18, just show up to a polling booth and you will be able to vote.

Pass it on.
