Far too much with an out of control fire a few minutes from multiple subdivisions with thousands of residents.

We're in a drought here, and our premier described the province as a tinderbox. Multiple active wildfires, and no rain in the 7 day forecast. Firefighters and equipment from at least 4 provinces plus Armed Forces...it's brutal.
I really hate complaining about fantastic summer weather. But we desperately need a solid week of rain. The entire province does, really. The current forest fires (and potential for more) is so unsettling - worse for those directly affected of course.
We had a great time, and ended up spending all afternoon together! 😁
I just made plans to meet my 2nd cousin in person for the first time tomorrow! She's a dual-citizen and recently moved here. 😃
Just watched Ozzy's funeral procession on YouTube, and poor Sharon looks frail. I know the family live very publicly, but dealing with grief is a whole other thing and I hope they can be allowed to do so privately as needed.
Very busy weekend with the genealogy conference all weekend, but my 13 daughter also got home from Cadet camp last night after 3 weeks! It was her first time away from home more than just a couple of days, and she absolutely loved it! I may be in trouble now. 🙃😆

Too bad. This is Sailing 1, so it's just a 3 week camp that ends July 25.
Her CO isn't sure if the CTC dorm is at RMC or not. It must be close by, at least. Will L be in Kingston or PEI this summer? She's allowed off-base with my permission if they know who she's with and time in advance, would be cool for cousins to get together if he'll be around!

Very short notice, but we found out this morning that my daughter got accepted to Cadet camp, Sailing in Kingston ON - her top choice! She leaves on Sunday! 😳 Bit of a hectic day today trying to sort everything out! So happy for her! 😃

I have a 🏳️🌈 bowtie attached to my dog's harness, and he keeps getting smiles and compliments on it everywhere we go: doggy daycare, pet store, pet expo, and various trails around town. I always overhear excited comments between families or groups of friends about "bowtie" lol. 😊
