Four generations of my family have served our country. Service is in my blood. The President wouldn’t know anything about that.
This is why I can’t stand all the pie-in-the-sky fantasies about what a progressive president will do with unitary executive power.
The next Democratic president won’t be able to take a dump without the Supreme Court upholding a ruling by a Texas judge that presidents are no longer allowed to shit.
This demon is Jake. But usually we just call him Satan.
Serious question, Professor: now that Musk controls the federal treasury, what is to stop him from cutting off the salaries of all members of congress? And all judges who might oppose his actions?
Total defunding of the legislative branch and the judicial branch. Instant coup. Who could stop it?

Unfortunately the model doesn’t seem to work as well in other states, possibly because the pool of participants isn’t large enough.
Many union CBAs there require that employers contribute to the Plan to offset the cost of health insurance plans that are available for purchase. This holds whether a worker works for a single employer or multiple employers who contribute to the plan.
One promising model is the Entertainment Industry Flex Plan, which offers a section 125 plan to any union worker associated with the entertainment industry in CA: flexplan.com
Many unions maintain health and welfare plans for their members, particularly those who work numerous jobs and don’t have a single full time employer. They don’t work very well - premiums are expensive and the funding is often problematic.

Final thoughts today. My conclusion is that many in the US have no idea what's coming for it. Can't/won't believe. 'The institutions will hold'. 'There's always the courts.' Let's hope so. But the plan is shock & awe. Think high-profile scapegoats, a climate of fear, institutional cowardice.
