Listening to radio 4 - two men discussing marriage and feminism - surely canβt be that hard to find a woman to join this conversation?!

Been inspired by Suzi Ruffell the comedian, who takes toys when she goes away on tour. I have beanie baby with me on my overnight work trip so I can send photos to my son. Result is that I look like I have an emotional support animal, but Iβm ok with that - heβs good company.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a brilliant lecturer when I was an undergraduate. Your piece is beautiful and thoughtful. Thank you for sharing your experience - itβs such a nuanced issue.
Some exciting new posts at Bath Uni with a new centre focussing on researching youth mental health:
There are some quotes from Michael Rutter in this piece⦠he talks about it being a dynamic process not a fixed trait and is much more eloquent than me! www.independent.co.uk/life-style/h...
otherwise it feels like blaming someone for excessive workload or stress and saying itβs their fault they arenβt resilient enough.
Michael Rutter speaks about this really nicely - about how resilience is related to a specific stress of some kind
Ah so glad to see you are on here! @intheflowerbeds.bsky.social
Yes I have written about this - I think itβs really important to say what the resilience is in response to - not to use it like a blanket term to say someone is resilient to everythingβ¦.
Had a great time at Psychology in Action event for A Level students today. Amazing questions from the students. Iβve got free resources which might be useful to A Level students curious about clinical psychology here in case of use to anyone following along: www.lucymaddox.co.uk/resources
Grim prison treatment of a vulnerable person leading to her death described here. This article is really sad, and highlights a clear need to consider mental health and neurodiversity in this setting and provide proper help.
