More images going from left to right was the kings throne, Grendel's hole, the hall of the mountain king and finally the mountain king himself (look at the shadow on the wall). Also the kings throne looked like a bunch of jellyfish to me.
Going from pitch black in the cave to just seeing this flickering light in the distance the only thing I could think of was gandalf going "drums, drums in the deep."
