Bring it into the communities by recording it and making the recording available. It will suddenly be in all communities.

I really need to highlight two wonderful book shops in Limerick city....Celtic Bookshop opposite Hunt Museum which I only ventured to recently. Fabulous curated selection of books of Irish interest. Absolute treasure trove! Quay books as a wonderful second hand book option in Sarsfield St.

Statement from Mayor of Limerick John Moran on Proposal to Record Full Council Meetings The Mayor has confirmed that he has submitted a motion seeking the formal recording of Full Council meetings. The motion will be seconded by Cllr Elisa O’Donovan.

FFG have opposed the recording and streaming of Limerick Council meetings for years. Now, it's back on the table in a very public way after media coverage of the latest goings-on.

Galway councillor claims RSA messaging amounts to β€˜victim blaming’ – β€˜Children are not killed because of a lack of high-vis vests’ A Galway councillor has called for a β€œno confidence” vote and a major overhaul of the Road Safety Authority (RSA), claiming its education campaigns place responsibility on vulnerable road users rather...

7 deaths on our roads over the weekend including a 16 y/o girl walking her dog.

Why the obsession over hi-vis? Why the reduction in active travel funding?
Where are the 30km/h zones?
Where are the red light cameras?
Why no enforcement?
Why aren't intelligent speed systems default on new cars?

There's a city centre transport plan coming soon, due to be published in a few weeks after being delayed for about a year.
It then goes for public consultation.
Good opportunity to get support for a better city centre.

Department of Transport u-turns on mandatory helmets and high-vis forΒ cyclists Mandatory helmets and high-vis for cyclists are now not being looked at by the Government, the Department of Transport has confirmed. The introduction of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for bicycle users is "outside the scope of the current measures" being looked at by the Government, a Department of Transport spokesperson has said this afternoon. The Department issued what it terms a 'clarification' about 24 hours after it said that bicycles were included in a move to make helmets and high-vis mandatory for e-, and hours after the TΓ‘naiste, Simon Harris, contradicted the Department's statement from yesterday.
