By the way, I think going strictly gluten-free pretty much cured my ME/CFS. I now go running and stuff. New life, new body, new outlook, less food though. Massive cravings for pizza.

"Do you have a gluten-free meal? I have celiac disease."
"Not much, only bread. Have bread."
Airport employees. Such lovely people. So nice and friendly and so helpful. I wonder how they get their brain removed, though; that sounds medical.
Much strength to you!
I don't think it would. That's just straight up deceptive methodology.
P-hacking is more specific and refers to using statistical artifacts specifically. It can be applied to produce incorrect/deceptive results whether the methodology is sound or not.
This sounds suspiciously like P-Hacking to me, just looking at the 96.9% number. Its precisely using the 1/20 studies that happen to measure statistical artifacts.

I did not verify that this is exactly what happened here, but we all should get a little suspicious when we see numbers close to 1/20 in science.
There are other ways of faking study results to come close to this number, such as P-hacking.

Imagine a zoo full of ducks and penguins.
Its 80.000 ducks and 20 penguins, but you don't know that. Instead you count; but not all of then. You just pick 20 animals at random and extrapolate.
There simply is some chance that you happen to pick penguin 20 times in a row by statistical accident.
Scientific studies often use whats called a P-value. Its a measure based in the statistics of the study indicating how likely the study is wrong by chance. A P-Value of 1 means "definitely wrong", 0 means "never wrong", 0.5 means "50/50" chance.
0.05, 1/20 chance is often used as a target value.
This study is deliberately measuring statistical noise.
Scientific papers using statistics have a chance of being wrong by looking at people who happen to be statistically unusual.
This chance is often calibrated so that: 1/20 scientific papers is wrong.
They are using exactly these studies here.
Congratulations! You look extremely cute together :)
It strikes me that the idea of descendants directly continuing their ancestors existence is patriarchal.
It justifies the violence parents and grandparents use to bend their children to their whim.
What is so depraved about patriarchs of any gender that they need heirs instead of children?
Besides supporting each other materially, we must honor them, by learning and respecting what they have to teach.
They must honor their descendants by doing the work of teaching and by making space for some of their being to be abandoned.
Death can not be subverted, we loose our dignity by trying.
To elaborate on this: I believe that honoring our ancestors individually is about continuity, not about continuance.
We choose, we consent, to carry certain aspects of our ancestors into the future. Others we abandon.
That we both carry forward and abandon puts us into mutual relationship.
It is my opinion, that shame about the past perpetuates historical trauma.
To heal historical wounds and to move forward, united, we must learn to face history without shame.
Building a future, requires knowledge of the past.
Make knowledge of the past and future-building into a radical act.
And if your family is blocking you, they are acting unethically. You have a right to know. Their shame is not your shame.
You should treat them with compassion, but stand your ground.
If your ancestors received violence, you should know that. It affects you.
If they committed violence, you should know that. It affects you.
You are not responsible for how your ancestors behaved or how people treated them. It does affect you and you should know.
Abolish shame, learn history.
If anybody here feels they need permission or they need someone to tell them: Do ancestor work. Figure out what your ancestors did, who they where, where they lived, where they come from.
Its important and affects you.
You know, the good thing about many Asian cuisines is that many of them barely ever use wheat.
Except for soy sauce, that contains wheat.
You know what really helps when I am in a super depressive mood? Eating something. You know what doesn't help as much? Eating protein bars as an emergency option.
At least I finally found some rice, vegetables and eggs.
I am in Taiwan and can't eat anything. Fuck my life. Fuck celiac.
There are notebooks made of stone-based paper which allow water to be used to erase the text written cleanly, if your requirement is just that you can rewrite the text.

I really appreciate this TikToker with Tourette syndrome, Shay, for taking the time to educate so many of us (including me) about her disability and coprolalia in light of what happened at the BAFTAs with John Davidson when Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage.
I learned a lot.
This need of old white men in particular produces a ridiculous, problematic, frustrating, and hurtful situation.
The more marginalized you are, the greater incentive you have to do something. Old white men's incentive is minimal.
This produces yet more hurt, in a spiral of hurt. What a shitshow.
It is startling and bizarre how there is such a radical lack of teaching about racism, social dynamics, kindness, and how entrenched these racist structures are to produce beings who seem to have genuine difficulty at actingβ¦human, and kind.
Maybe someone must teach John Davidson how to handle this
In the case I supported, the harm was clear and there was no tourette syndrome that would have externalized the hurt. Just an old white dude using a slur.
He wanted to apologize. I had to split-screen in and word-by-word them through it and stop them from using more slurs; they where willing.
Another thing: I personally forced old white men who used slurs publicly to apologize on the same public channel where they used the slurs.
Old white men have no clue at all how to handle a situation like that. Nobody taught them; they are completely inept. Gross failure of socialization.
Tics happen to you, they are not something you do. It is soul-crushing to take responsibility β to apologize β for something that is not a thing you did.
This is different from acknowledging harm though; harm can be acknowledged without positioning yourself as someone who has to apologize.
