What a ridiculous football game
What a fucking nightmare
Beach Gen Game Club is back with a lengthy discussion of @polygonbird.gamesβs 2025 shmup BIRDCAGE β a game explicitly designed around modern gamepads without upending core genre staples. youtu.be/_GCdGHq0SBU?...
The hubris beckons for the people who think they are at the top of the skill ceiling. #Magentahorizon
And here comes the new point-and-click project I'm working on. Do you like Speculative Evolution or a similar world-building project based on alien life? Do you like a game where information about the world plays a significant role in the puzzle clue? This might interest you.
Yeah after thinking about this for a couple years (π) the immediate question is sorta uninteresting/thought-terminating but all the assumptions and definitions around it are important and also touchy subjects for most enthusiasts if you really come at it w/ a critical eye
Most games are prone to getting stuck in the mud, which can exhaust the power of an emotional note and in turn the broader tone
Played a few hours so far, Angeline Era is very good. The highest praise I can give it is that it nails the tone, which is something I've been frustrated with in the past year with games. The immediacy of combat and breezy pacing lets the tone flow dynamically, demonstrate range, surprise
Abscission (Doom WAD)/Besiege (Vehicle Builder)/Akashicverse (Shmup)
I don't get this one because the reason for them having separate collisions is obviously bc they are independent objects for the suspension effect, hence janky results. I replayed a few weeks ago, it's a cursed game but also there's too much mario 64 in it for it it to be bad, so it's pretty fun
If it wasn't hard then it wouldn't be worth it, the difficulty is the point. You aren't owed success and it doesn't follow transactionally from effort, it only comes indirectly from attentive focus on your own actions. Anything else is a desire for fulfilling ego over accomplishing the task
FOSSIL MAIDEN
343 Death in TGM2. Tetris melts my brain...
Their damage kinda eats shit later on which evens it out some but I like the other chars more
In the install directory there is a manual you can read that has story info and no spoilers and is written in the game's weird ass prose
My fucking goat, most hotpocket core aesthetic game ever
Back to the pre-Dread status quo for Metroid I guess...
I created a mod to buff Bloodbath Diablos' head and horn hitzones to match the sever hitzones and make the fight much more enjoyable for blunt weapons (imo)
Now I can finally clear EX Bloodbath with Hammer....

Ketsui is prob a better game than DOJ in terms of gameplay but DOJ art clears hard
Coming late but there are a lot of big hitters this year lmao
I really liked it but I didn't use rapid morph (and I maybe didn't think to hard spam morph slash). I think I mainly liked it because it plays like LS used to with a flowy but weighty weapon moveset. I don't care for the old gen meter but it's def also dumb in rise if you use all the effects
Hello, everyone. This may sound sudden or weird, but I would appreciate your help, especially if you are a German. Iβm currently residing in Berlin with a working holiday visa. But thereβs a limit of what I can do with this visa, as it doesnβt allow me to do the freelancing job. As you can see, Iβm a digital artist with a game developer background, and freelancing artwork is my means of support when I donβt have a full-time job. Besides, I found the indie game development scene in Berlin quite fascinating from my experience with Games Ground and Talk and Play events. Iβd love to participate in the scene but without the downtime or hurdles. So it is my goal to get the German Freelancer Visa. With that I can use my German bank account to actually open up my art/animation work services. To get the Visa, I need to get the letter of intent from a potential customer or companies IN GERMANY, but the current indie game dev sphere in Germany isβ¦ seemingly frozen, so Iβm planning to set up the illustration commission board, and get a lot of commission letters from people instead. In case you donβt know, a letter of intent is not a contract. Which means it doesnβt have a legal power that I or the government can use to pressure you. So, casually, if you want to try out my service, or just want to help, it would be nice to send me a letter of intent. Also hereβs my additional offering. If I get my Freelancer Visa approved, I would halve the cost of my first artwork for the clients who sent me the letters. No matter the type. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, even just a share would mean a lot to me.
Commission board is.... opened...? I'm in a weird situation.
If you happen to be a German, I would need your help.
Ich wΓ€re euch sehr dankbar fΓΌr eure Hilfe, insbesondere wenn ihr Deutsche seid.
