Maybe I'm not dreaming big enough, but everything I've convinced myself was possible, I've found a way to make it happen.
Loved this quirky and wide ranging chat with Trevor Noah on his pod. I will note he has much better hair than @profgalloway.com

i know folks here seem to think Nostr doesn't do trust and safety, but that's not true, under the hood it's very similar to atprotocol, but without a central company and a moderation feed you can't op out of.... but nostr was missing an ozone like tool, so i made one. faro.nos.social

The best way to reduce the cost of Medicaid is to name and shame big employers that pay their full time employees so little, they qualify for Medicaid

Hereβs my honest take: Iβm on Twitter, Nostr, and Bluesky, and Bluesky consistently gets the lowest engagement. It feels like talking to air.
The world is yet to see how cruel he is. Right now, his cruelty is pointed at weaker nations and people, but at some point, it will reach them, and they will see who he truly is.
Fears and desires: the most powerful forces in a person's life
Dealing with AI for fixing coding bugs highlights the issues with proprietary AI models. I recently had an experience where a model deleted other models from the code, even after I explicitly instructed it not to. These tools should not operate with such an agenda.
I found this fascinating to listen to. Now I have to listen to the whole thing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg8t...
Trying to make all of life cater to your preferences is a recipe for misery. I am learning to be okay with life doing its own thing. The only aspects I will focus on controlling are my internal state and my responses to reality. I am dedicated to love, productivity, and joy.
I am amazed by how Michael Jackson's music still resonates today. I was driving home from school with the kids and played 'Smooth Criminal' and 'They Don't Care About Us.' They were really vibing with it.
I waved to the sun this morning, haha. It felt silly but gave me so much joy.
I heard this quote shared from the Atma Gita, and it just touched me. "That man who has tasted the bliss of the Self, May move among objects of sense without fear; His mind never clings to the world's misery; His heart is with God and his soul is made free."β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ I love it!!!
If you're okay inside, you can live life more fully. When you're not okay inside, you keep looking for things outside to make you feel okay. This shows up as consumerism, social media addiction, etc.
You can show the same thing to 1,000 people or give them the exact same experience, and they will have different feelings and opinions about it. The issue is not the object or the experience; the issue is the observer. I am the one who needs to change. Life is just lifing.
So, while battling a terrible case of man flu over the weekend. I watched a Netflix Series "Murder Mindfully" and I really enjoyed it. Here is the link: www.netflix.com/title/81554969
This was an enlightening perspective, and it makes the impact of tariffs real.
My brain has rewired to a point where TV or movies are boring. Nothing beats books and coding as far as stimulating entertainment. In code, the problems must be interesting and novel; in books, they must be dense, not fiction. If it's a story, it must be a good real-life story.
The high notes from our hearts are easier to ride. To be complete, we have to be able to also listen to the low notes. It's the low notes that we run from. We run to our chosen passifier/s.
Online, it looks like the world is falling apart, and people hate each other. Out in the physical world, it feels different. I have more moments of connection and beauty.
