They're gonna fucking send the marines to Kharg island. They could literally just shut down Iranian exports with the Navy, any time they wanted. But no, they need the strong manly men to do it.
Pete's problem, as before, is black voters. The race crosstabs in some of these polls are just brutal for him- his support is white as mayo and that won't cut it in a Dem primary.
it feels like a lot of Dems are suddenly trying "we can run a robust social safety net by only taxing rich people and corporations" messaging and that is
a) not a great message, in that we should all contribute
b) not actually true, math-wise
