At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.
the first video of a member of law enforcement executing a Black person should’ve ended this, but white Americans let racism win the argument despite the fact that it was always going to lead here. ‘no one is free until all of us are free’ isn’t a bumper sticker, we are acutely aware of our enemy.

Honestly I think the focus on that 7 is not even helpful, because what happened is that Dem leadership refused to push any position and just kind of shrugged, letting this happen. Those 7 votes belong to all Dems, not just those 7
