I donβt think the metaphor of the doomsday clock makes any sense at all

what's the go with bandcamp making your purchase history public. why did they do that.
So many details to notice. I also like spiritomb and the way oddish is chilling with its legs in the ground
stranger: what do you do for work?
me, shamefully: computer
Excadrill, a mole Pokemon, eating/napping with human miners
Love this Pokemon card art of Excadrill on a union break with human colleagues in a mine.
lmao the different font. Definitely a full sentence the email author typed out themselves

it's so important that your pokemon knowledge is correct
Oh this is like looking for the original legend about a flying pig or a horse being led to water that wonβt drink
you triggered my PokΓ©mon/weeb/manga trivia side. If you look up the full phrase in Japanese you can also find a lot of references on the Japanese web just defining the idiom with no reference to PokΓ©mon. Sorry for dragging your good name through the mud
Dungeon meshi is of course post PokΓ©mon but I donβt feel like youβd work the phrase out backwards and then use it for a joke expecting your audience of potentially non-PokΓ©mon fans to understand it. Iβve read it in other manga too but I knew for sure it was in dungeon meshi due to the food thing lol
Oh shit itβs in vol 1 and I have an book of that
Iβve read this phrase used in manga totally unrelated to PokΓ©mon so I do think itβs a real saying. I think the PokΓ©mon existing has made localisers confident in just translating it directly. When I get home Iβll look for a translation note at the back of a dungeon meshi volume, iirc itβs used there
Just being able to get some numbers on how many outdated things there are is handy for now!
This is handy! Next time I inherit an old site that needs a tune up I'll definitely be using this. Or can use the reporting from this to try to argue for CSS improvement budgets.
noo, hope you get better fast!
clap
Dai dark for making me clap my hands in glee this year
Also I of course read a billion comics this year as usual but thatβs hard to summarise and track. Shout out to fool night for being particularly good ongoing, a guest in the house for being particularly good standalone, the dc comics app for making me frustrated and insane
the book of elsewhere was the one real dud.

books I read this year
also - deltarune and soulsov are obviously episodic and not done yet, but I'm counting them as ones I 'finished' for the year because I am allowed.
Tempopo, hades II, Death stranding 2, Synth riders, pokemon legends z-a, citizen sleeper 2 starward vector
yes I went back and played the DLC for citizen sleeper 1 but didn't finish 2 yet... other games defining my year even though they're not done yet
screenshots of the key art for: mouthwashing, citizen sleeper, kentucky route 0, emio the smiling man, slay the princess, deltarune, 1000x resist, clair obscur expedition 33, and soul of sovereignty prelude
I completed a pretty small number of videogames this year, a couple I played a lot but are still in progress (hades II and death stranding II) so I can't comment yet. Probably my most played game this year was synth riders. But these are the manageably-sized mostly narrative games I finished
