Was looking up the leaders of a particular baseball stat and uh, one of these things is not like the other.

The San Jose Earthquakes know what they did.
A still from "Mannix" where Mike Connors is being held up by John Ritter on the "Brady Bunch" set
Just saw this and thought of @televisionaryzw.bsky.social...
My guess is for this one they switched it to Amazon to help secure the rights to reprint the issue with Invincible in it.
The best explanation I can come up with for this one in particular is they had to change it to Amazon in particular as part of an agreement to use Invincible.
Itβs in the top ten every single week and is easily the most watched show in the world for the past few years.
Wow I hate this.
Thursday night April 21st, 1966: what would you watch?
There are also no bots involved in the Nielsen ratings compared to YouTube (which you get bots even if you donβt pay for them or try to attract them, itβs just what happens).
Like that screenshot/Nielsen streaming is measured in minutes watched instead of total viewers which makes it hard to do a one to one comparison but usually new popular shows in their first week have around the same number of viewers as a top live show does.
Itβs a mix of both. Thereβs also theoretical βwho watched it within a weekβ lists (which is what the advertisers care about, after a week or two itβs no good to them). And internal ones for more than just the top 10 streaming which is all thatβs publicly available.

I just had a half hour long conversation with Robin, 7, he says that he canβt sleep sometimes because he canβt stop thinking about death at night.
Heβs not depressed heβs too smart.
Thatβs just the live viewers, not on DVR or streaming within a week. Let alone reruns on cable or streaming where many of those shows are in the weekly top 10.
So itβs more like, educated guess 25-30% of America are watching those shows or similar ones, on any given week.
By one measure, GEORGE AND MANDY'S was the No. 2 comedy on streaming or TV this fall, with 9.9M viewers-- behind CBS's GHOSTS (10.59M) but ahead of Netflix's NOBODY WANTS THIS (9.4M)!

Okay now Iβm very curious to see your opinion of Howard Sprague. A character I think Iβm the only person in the world, living or dead, that prefers him to Barney
executives and audiences are & were usually right! The pilots that didnβt make it to series, almost universally garbage. The shows that got cancelled after a few episodes? Same. The hit shows? With very few exceptions all of them were at least pretty good & if they started to suck, were cancelled
So I donβt think youβve followed me long but between 2016-2025 I had a job where I could have TV on in the background & sitcoms worked perfectly because I didnβt have to see what was going on. I watched around 10 thousand episodes during that time and the thing I discovered is that -
Itβs (from what I can tell) half multicam half single cam. It appears that when itβs in the comic book store itβs multicam and when they go to different dimensions itβs singlec.
I take no pleasure in bringing you this news.
Hereβs Obama dreading having to take a bite of it during a campaign stop.
And coming later this year a third spinoff thatβs a sci-fi comedy.
Though the next spinoff is a sci-fi comedy with some multicam scenes and some single cam⦠is they enough of a different genre?
Now weβre talking.
The responses to this drive the populist in me crazy. Absolute old fashioned βI only watch PBSβ cringe liberalism.
Now they just need to pull a Lou Grant and have a drama spinoff
The important thing to remember is that The Big Bang Theory, a multi-camera show, spun off Young Sheldon, a single-camera show, which then spun off George and Mandyβs First Marriage, a multi-camera show. This is the first time in tv history that this has happened. We live in unprecedented times!!!!
The college town I live in has crap pizza, plus for some reason in the PNW they put giant cold slices of tomatoes on pies.
Nine year old is eating this up.
