I bought the sequel last night. I'm glad I didn't have to wait months! That would've driven me crazy.

I finally got around to reading Children of Blood and Bone, and after finishing it, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long.

I tried Hello Kitty Island Adventure today and almost immediately requested a refund. The gameplay was just NOT for me.

Woke up and immediately got sick this morning. I want to spend the day in bed but I don't want to get behind at work. I'm so burnt out.

I was such an elitist when I was a teeny bopper and would NEVER allow myself to read something low brow. Surprise surprise, I stopped reading entirely. I'm glad I've found balance. ☺️

Anyway I got tired of the series I was reading so I moved on to So Let Them Burn by @wordsiren.bsky.social So far, it's seeming to be what I thought Fourth Wing was gonna be, so I'm loving it!

I do think it’s super important right now and in the foreseeable future to really value moments of joy and to be intentional about making as many of them as you can

Trashy booktok romantasy got me back into reading a few years ago. It was like junk food or reality TV - great for binging, but not everyday. I'm glad I now allow myself to read books like that sometimes, for pure escapism and entertainment. No thoughts, just vibes.

I actually bought one last year for my birthday. First card I ever spent more than like, $20 on. Now I wish I had waited. 😅

The Jasmine Throne is SO GOOD. The cast of female characters that are all so drastically different is just *chef's kiss*. The mythology, the imagery, everything. Such a beautiful experience. I'm planning a reread soon so I can read the newest one!

I'm trying to diversify my reading this year! Have you read anything recently you would recommend to a fellow fantasy-lover?

Absolutely. Especially if it's in a professional setting, I become painfully frustrated. It's probably one of the things I have the hardest time just letting go.

Practicing the art of "good enough" is so hard but is so helpful! Breaking the shame spiral is the only thing that gave me lasting improvements. No other hacks worked until I was kinder to myself.
