I read that in Australia the low price is starting to increase because of grid batteries now. This is good.
It really does not help the solar investment much. You can buy home energy storage without solar and buy energy for free at those periods anyway. (but with grid cost). But enough batteries could bring prices up at energy since more will be peak shaving. With enough batteries the price would be flat
What we have seen here in Norway is that solar is bad for solar business. Since already there is so much solar generation in summer that price is negative when you produce. You end up paying to get rid of the power you generate and you will "never" earn back the investment. We need grid batteries!
