I haven’t seen much comment about the ‘use of a carriage service’ provisions in the gun laws. Seems like pretty crazy overreach to anyone with any interest in history, engineering, manufacturing or machining (in general, not of guns).

The NSW parliament is about to pass a law empowering the police to prohibit all public assemblies in whatever area they specify, for 14 days when a terrorist incident has been declared (also by the police). Clearly unconstitutional, even if you accept a direct link between protests and terrorism.
