Paralympic curling is fun as heck to watch - this is one of the best shots i've seen. No sweepers, just pure aim!

Please check your enrolment status BUT don't use autofill to do so, as that can cause the site to fail to find you.

I will be endlessly barracking people about this closer to Writ Day.

Uploading Pirated Books via BitTorrent Qualifies as Fair Use, Meta Argues * TorrentFreak In an ongoing lawsuit, Meta now argues that uploading pirated books to strangers via BitTorrent qualifies as fair use.

In 2013 Aaron Swartz committed suicide for facing 35 years in prison for mass downloading scientific articles.

13 years later, Meta is almost getting away with an infraction orders of magnitude larger.

The law didn't change.

I am just noting that NZ National confusion over Iran is deeper than just the serious Prime Minister’s leadership failure.
I lost track of the number of parliamentary questions National filed to try and stop a Kurdish refugee & critic of the Iranian regime when Behrouz Boochani sought NZ asylum

The Book of Love” (Tweek/Craig Tribute) - South Park YouTube video by Comedy Central

Sounds long. Probably boring.

(Was introduced to this song quite late in life, when South Park used it (well PG's cover of it) in Tweek x Craig. Which is like 10+ years old now.

The Post

I don't need to know names, but the question I have here is whether Stuff pleaded limitation.

With a 2018 conviction, the publication seems like it would be at least six years old.

Maybe there was republication when the mastheads split or something?

All the people who where disappointed that they had been removed from the list (undercurrent: as a sop for Pres. Trump?) when it turns out the real scandal is that they were added in the first place.

The third reich of dreams: the nightmares of a nation on a book cover picturing a bullet hole in a pane of glass.

The third reich of dreams: the nightmares of a nation on a book cover picturing a bullet hole in a pane of glass.

This book is messing me up. Published in 1966, but originally recorded in the 1930s, its the diary/ analysis of a Jewish journalist under nazism that recorded her own and her friends’/neighbors’ nightmares as they began to slowly reflect the anxieties and images of life under fascism.

My kids secondary and primary schools in the East Midlands sent out emails about this. One sent an email saying it was a trend we had to be aware of, and the other sent one saying it's a viral hoax they want to warn us about.

When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.

And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.

Govt's census shake-up advances despite 'unreliable' data concerns Labour confirms it will back polarising changes through the first stage of the legislative process – but is reserving the right to kill the bill

The Government appear to be avoiding playing games on this one, having spoken with other parties about the best approach prior to drafting and introducing the Bill, in light of the reserved provisions.

We don't, but if you're counting governments by number of terms, then elections are relevant.
If you ignore elections, then every government is a single term government.

A common way of counting governments is by Prime Minister.
When accounting for elections as here, PM after the election. They Key Government lasted 3 terms, the Ardern 2.

If we're only counting since MMP we have National 1996-1999 as a one-termer and Labour as a two. So tied.
