It was lovely to worship with Cherice at North Valley Friends just before she left on this trip! I recommend her and her work!

"I feel like there is God in me... like there is a candle in me. God is not 'there' but he is here." Sikhuphukile Nare, a Quaker from Zimbabwe, shares her inward experience of worship. You can watch it here, and if her words speak to you, please do help us share her message. youtu.be/6DvxC9N5tZI?...
I knew I was a Quaker when my mom taught us how the world was going and I didnβt even realize how many times we had been there
Spot Cuaquerin! As the year draws to a close, I'm reflecting on blessings. I meet so many inspired people, including the Bolivian Friends who created this little character for children's Quaker studies. I bring him with me on all my travels. Can you guess all the locations? Answer in the comments!
A photo of an office self with a minifridge with new stickers still on it and a βWashingtonβ magnet featuring an orca whale in front of Mt. Rainier
The concept of a βmagnet for for your fridgeβ feels pretty quintessentially U.S.A., even though theyβre souvenirs everywhere. I bring them as little gifts on my travels and just got this photo from a pastor in El Salvador. He got a new minifridge and had something immediately to swag it up!
While walking the streets of Philly this evening I crossed paths both with an old friend from college and Kamala Harris. Itβs taken me a few hours to realize the improbability of both those things happening in the space of a few blocks within less than an hour
This year's World Quaker Day (5 October) is themed 'Love Your Neighbour'.
Our QuakerSpeak video on the theme, published in preparation, has been viewed nearly ten thousand times!

"I ultimately found my faith tested in these last years," says Evan Welkin, executive secretary of the FWCC Section of the Americas, "in a way that had nothing to do with Catholicism, perhaps even little to do with Quakerism but everything to do with God meeting me in the darkest places in my life."
Blessings to you, Bridget, for your clear and courageous voice. #Quakers

Leaving Jamaica today. Itβs been a rich trip and βQuakerinβ of Central Friends YM in Bolivia has been here to pray for me along the way
I arrived in Jamaica and worshiped with Friends this morning at Amity Hall. This meeting is home to our FWCC Americas Recording Clerk Mary Carter Haynes. I picked a breadfruit from the tree out front and tried limes, mangoes and a new fruit I'd never seen before, "sweetsap."

Just arrived in Jamaica for Annual Sessions this week. I have tried to assure folks that I didnβt intentionally bring a Category 5 hurricane with me.

βLoving our Neighbours across the 49th Parallel: Conversation with Friends across our Common Borderβ
Our Justice & Peace Secretary Hezron Masitsa has been researching how traditional African food preservation techniques are saving lives. Hear his findings on Thursday 19 June 2025, 19:00-20:30 (BST) in the third of Woodbrooke's Eva Koch Scholar series.

A bird has built its nest above my office door at the Quaker meetinghouse. It hear it flit past
And an excellent interpreter!

Leaving Philly after another short visit. Itβs been fun to see the seasons change, though I canβt claim anything like Robinβs Schuylkill crossing consistency. I heard conversations in Turkish, Spanish and Italian between @friendsctr.bsky.social and the airport
Iβm very excited that we will host Emily this next week at my Olympia Monthly Meeting back in Washington State! Looks like sheβll return to England afterward?
We had a conversation about him in Bolivia recently and I realized there were some gaps in my memory
