I was a real nightmare in some formative writing circles in my 20s because politics and economics not only interested me, I was enraptured by them.
I grew up with family telling me that political party affiliation should be a lifelong commitment. To pick one in your 20s and stick with it no matter what.
I mildly scared one of them a few years ago when I said I would be willing to drag -all- parties over hot coals.
