Continuing the bit perfectly
@sambews
Hey all, I'm a mid level shot player. I love talking about the game, so if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. I post clips here occasionally, with no promise on quality nor quantity. https://sendou.ink/u/sambews
Continuing the bit perfectly
Sick of hearing people bitch about Splatoon. If you don't think it's fun... don't play. If you do play, stop complaining about how unfun it is.
Maybe a universal slider? Or if I box a bunch of weapons I can press a button that says sync scales, or smth to that effect
I always make weapon icons smaller when I'm using the map planner. If I do some stuff with some weapons, and then later add a weapon, I have to change it seperately, and I end up with lots of things with slightly different scales. It'd be nice to have some way to make sure they're all the same.
This is what watching JP streamers is like when you don't know Japanese
S2 veterans when they have to fight a zooka
Highway robbery
(We won this set 3-2)
And it's not just last-play situations, if your game sense is good enough you know the consequences for each of your deaths. If you've played enough you can picture in your mind how the play fails, and how your position crumples because of it. But you just can't afford to hesitate
The better I get at this game the more I realize how important bravery is. It's game five, overtime, and my gut is telling me that the best play is to take an even fight with the decav. If I die the game is ober. I'm *terrified,* but I can't afford to hesitate. No second thoughts, I need to be brave
I'm saying goodbye to shot, for now. I'll miss you :'(
"Some fall in glorious ways. On green fields of battle as old warriors, surrounded by friends, fighting for their homes, fighting cruelty. Some fall crawling in the dirt of Forrestville, Tennessee, in the dark, impossibly young and alone, for no good reason at all"
- Jeff Zentner, The Serpent King
The lion does not concern himself with whether his jump is safe or not
Burst bombs
My team has been running this a lot. I know shot can be a little iffy as an aggressive option, but it still has the potential if you're good enough, and burst bombs help substantially. Everyone comboing with each other makes the bursts more threatening, and you can afford downtime bc teammates paint
Pen + crab dread / FPro + glamorshot + S-Blast
My life is my teammates learning the things I'm telling them from other sources
I want to addend this by saying, for most levels of play, as long as your comp has a gameplan your losses are likely due to midgame decisions.
Yes, different comps influence the game. No, you arenβt losing on weapon select by going no cooler or going ttek over vshot in Low Ink.
#compsplatoon
dying is bad
it doesn't matter if you were distracting people
it doesn't matter if you were coolered
do things without dying
jump out or disengage sooner
don't do things where you have to die in the process
dying is bad
unless you like gambling, then go ahead gamble on your teammates' success
I made a thing! And it's way better than my last thing. This new patch buffs us so hard
youtu.be/93pMxxpCtvE?...
I'm trying give me a sec
I think generally glamshot is going to be worse than TTek/VShot (which are just worse than VSplash), but it's going to have a niche as an aggressive short range weapon. Burst bomb + a continuation special is everything shot needed to fight in the current meta
Burst bomb -> splashdown -> burst bomb you guys are *not* ready for the splattershot jumpscare
Godspeed soldier
Happy birthday!
A really interesting part of game sense/vod reviews is frameworks/patterns. It's so hard to understand what you're doing wrong until you find the pattern, and then it's obvious every time it happens. A lot of improvement comes down to just finding the patterns, which is wh- oh my god the word count
I would love that
Don't forget to love the game. To get good you're going to reduce it down to its bare components and grind countless matches. It will stop being new and novel. You will suffer demoralizing losses/loss streaks. You *need* to love the game in order to be good at it or there'll be no reason not to quit
Why didn't anybody tell me this weapon has a one shot this changes everything

Like I get that there's a mini down there but cmon we gotta score
