a 2028 campaign ad where the average american voter is represented as the guy from memento but all the tattoos are like “every republican president destroys the economy and starts a war in the middle east“ or “trump was president during covid”

Why doesn't the Democratic party get captured by its left wing, as happened with the GOP freedom caucus and eventually Rogan Thought?

Reactionary takeover was never populist. It was orchestrated by the same donor class that anchors the D to the right of any other social democracy's conservatives

So if anybody -- state attorneys general, Democratic politicians, sentient beings -- doesn't understand why Paramount Skydance's takeover of Warner Bros./CNN is a huge problem, Pete Hegseth is here to explain it to you.

Stop the propaganda. Block this merger.

We are not seeing mass protests because universities and colleges criminalized dissent — not just disciplining students on specious grounds but sending police (sometimes more in # than protestors) and supporting prosecutions. Ppl are terrified.

Orlando-born twins, age 12, wrongly deported to Guatemala with their mother The girls, who are U.S. citizens, and their mother flew to Guatemala on Tuesday and by Wednesday were back in Orlando, after a stop in Texas.

Two 12-year-old sisters born and raised in Florida were deported to Guatemala along with their mother earlier this week only to be returned the same day, with the twins forced to endure hours of flights in a legal maneuver the U.S. Attorney’s Office now concedes was unlawful.

I can't even find the words to express how repugnant and despicable this post is.

People who spew such Islamophobic bile don't belong in the United States Congress. The job of elected officials is to combat hate, not fan its flames. (1/2)

Sorry I didn’t know you could say something as outrageous as “where are the student protests now” when you crushed and derided the students for protesting and fighting to prevent catastrophic, apocalyptic violence against civilians, because they knew what this would unleash. They were so brave.

Utah case was dropped but the man, who arrived in US as a minor and has deferred action, was transfered to ICE.

My Year as a Degenerate Sports Gambler Practically overnight, America made wagering on a game as frictionless as checking the weather. I was determined to understand the consequences—for my country, and for myself.

Ubiquitously advertised betting available through the computer you carry in your pocket via apps designed and managed by ruthlessly efficient data scientists and programmers seems like a mistake. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/202...

Respectfully, eat shit. Those kids were expelled, arrested, and targeted relentlessly by their school administrations with the specific goal of preventing further protest. Eighteen year old kids were held down and maced by campus security, hit point blank with tear gas canisters by riot cops.

Immediately disqualifying for the job for which he has been nominated. The 4th Amendment specifies it’s “the right of the people,” not of citizens.

We cannot allow someone who doesn’t understand the 4th Amendment to be the head of DHS.
