I'm sure Jeff Bezos won't miss my few dollars every month, but his stand in favor of Trump and Musk makes the Washington Post even less desirable than the NYT, so I opted out. If many thousands would do the same it might have an effect.

Perhaps one of the differences between the midcentury right and MAGA is that the earlier conservatism seemed to have a world it sought to preserve—as hierarchical as it may have been—whereas today, the right seems bent on destruction, compelled only by fantasy and rage.
Why is any U.S. media outlet pretending there have been sufficient savings associated with this Musk debacle—or even any confirmed _net_ savings at all—such that every American can be given $5,000? This is clearly a desperate attempt by Musk and Trump to simply _pay_ people to stop criticizing them.
