So apparently being anti-immigration BUT doing Yum Cha is a thing.

Tbhβ¦the JJ Aussie song thing is like a bogan cheat sheet for Gen Xβrs who werenβt ever particularly invested in our (amazing) local music scene.
History teaches us something critical that all the propaganda desperately doesn't want us to understand. Small acts of decency, courage and kindness have unknowable but sometimes massive ripple effects. So much of fighting fascism is literally just not being a cunt.
Dusk autumn vibes at our place

every journalist who hyped a hung parliament did it for their boss, not to inform the public. The business model is closer contest = bigger audiences. They were all wrong, and they all keep their jobs, because they performed the task, which is lying to the public for corporate media metrics.
Can we just spare a thought, too, for the official end of News Corp as a political force. No one outside an aging political class pays any attention to them.
Lolsβ¦the ABC this morning, still not able to reflect on their own role of not just platforming, but championing a vision less, policy free LNP led by a man with as much charisma as a rolling pin.
May you long continue to shit in your nest.
Slow clap π
The Greens are horrible. They are a nasty, horrible, anti-Semitic party and when you deal with them on prepoll, they are just horrible people. I've never - I will happily take the Labor Party and with respect union thugs any day of the week compared to the Greens. They are horrible people. Tell us what you really think. They are nasty and the things they were saying to Maggie Forrest in Ryan are appalling. Things they said to Trevor Evans in Brisbane were just appalling. Because they don't believe that we have a right to express our views as conservatives, they try to do platform us and don't accept that we do have that different view. And I think how the Greens campaign, it is the ugly side of what politics
Liberal stooge on the ABC panel goes on unhinged rant about the Greens.

Nobody on the panel challenges him.

Here's our #BinNight mega-thread
Turns out being a shit leader with no policies acumen and a terrible front bench is bad
My favourite part of this election already β¦is watching mainstream media eat shit en masseβ¦including the ABC.
For 3 years youβve not just platformed , but championed a policy free, vision less LNP as some sort of viable alternative Govtβ¦.a shit sandwich no-one bought.
Slow Clap π
#BinNight
Are we having an election night thread?
Obviously there'll be lots of them, but I'm happy to host one too like we did on twitter last time
Should we use the #BinNight hashie? People have said in a previous post (when I asked) they think it works well as a bat signal
#AusVotes2025
Just had word from my friends in Perth that their WA polls are closing in 2 hours from now
We'll start our #BinNight thread in about 1 hour from now and hope our WA (and SA) friends join in as soon as they can
Get your music clips, pet pics & banger comments ready π€

this racist clownery will and should fall flat with voters (corporate media love it) imo. Over 6 million people voted Yes and I bet they all have family and friends who did not quite understand or predict how the No result would be used to continue/periodically inflame and reinscribe racism.
Telling people how to vote is fundamentally inconsistent with having a charitable purpose; charities cannot do it and maintain their lawful entitlement to charitable status.
If you look at who owns Chanel 7, when you get to the Seven Group Holdings level you're basically looking at mining and gas companies.
They of course have a financial interest in further subjugation of Indigenous peoples because they get rich by pilfering minerals from the land.
Wellβ¦.as it turns out I found a bottle of Rockford Semillon(Barossa Valley)β¦from a trip there a few years agoβ¦.much better than my average house wine ππ
Sunday night vibesβ¦.
Only two more days until Tim Wilson makes his annual ANZAC Day scene!
Their team is mostly made up of 25 year old meme makers, Scotty's leftovers and totally unfit for purpose, US style culture wars bait
The Liberal party are a sad, empty vessel of noise, nastiness and delusions led by a sub-intellect multi-millionaire property developer conning the little people
One feels the media will spend the entire election campaign pondering whether Dutton is about to turn the ship around, long after it has sunk without a trace and all that's left is a small oil slick
This is very sad news today.
One of the greatest rock drummers everβ¦hands down.
And a lovely man who once took the time to personally reply to one of my posts complimenting his amazing fills in βUnion City Blueβ
Go well Clem βοΈ
From Cathy Wilcox today:
Bridget McKenzie on #AfternoonBriefing - basically just gave their game away on controlling the school curriculum - it's all about being able to express climate change denialism #auspol
An hour or so before a booked out Kooyong Candidates Forum at Hawthorn Town Hall, Amelia Hamer pulls out.
Tonight, hundreds of Kooyong voters will see an empty chair - just like they did with Frydenberg.
And her reason? Have a look. π
This lazy clown bangs on about sacking 41,000 βwastefulβ public servantsβ
He had the opportunity today, at the National Press Club, to fully explain his partyβs policies, in detail with costingsβ¦..but nahβ¦he waffled on for an hour & held up a βgraphβ

Also worth remembering that it does not require a change in Australia's Constitution re; deporting people. It simply requires legislation, not a Constitutional referendum.
Dutton knows that.
Do any Australian media ask educated questions anymore, or do they just breathlessly repeat shite?

Just cancelled my subscription to the SMH, they sadly from my point of view deprioritised national news and all l see is property and crime news in Sydney - if they put politics and law and economic analysis back on the front page that may change but others are doing just as good if not better.
