Day 7 - we made it! 🎉

This week has resulted in some brilliant local awareness-raising about #AirPollution by our #CleanAirCrowd. Every conversation had, flyer distributed, social media post and message shared and sticker put up helps grow the movement for clean air. 🎉

No child should have the growth of their lungs stunted because of dirty air where they live and play, yet this is the reality of air pollution in England. Ella’s Law would change this.

It's not always easy to talk about, but yesterday I had a conversation with another parent about wood burning, air pollution, asthma rates, cargo bikes, most journeys under 5km, car clubs, school streets, idling & dangerous driver behaviour... Lots to discuss & worth it!

Controls on domestic wood-burning and solid fuel use in England The government is consulting on how to reduce emissions from solid fuel fires. These account for a fifth of the UK’s particulate matter emissions.

We're pleased to be featured in this Commons Library research briefing on #WoodBurning.

The briefing sets out the #Health effects of burning, the issues local authorities have enforcing Smoke Control Areas, and the proposals in the current consultation to reduce emissions from burning.
