I grabbed the first one in the interests of both "researching the space" and "supporting the friends who live in my phone", and anyway now the second one is in my bag ready for me to start as soon as I have time. After reading a lot of, frankly, shit in the research process, this has been lovely.

I love that I can be neck deep in a horror-ish novel, a romcom, and a middle grade adventure, but sometimes it's just not right to switch over to a different project when the protagonists of the current focus are unhappy :(
