βHe said he did not think it would have a significant impact on New Zealand's international reputation.β
Like fuck it wonβt! From the same party whose members couldnβt remember where they stood on the Springbok Tour.

If the Regulatory Standards Bill passes, Native birds would be better protected if they were registered as businesses! Cheers to @greenpeace.org.nz for commissioning this one!
For tips on how to make your submission against the bill, here's a handy guide: www.greenpeace.org/aotearoa/sto...
Posted a letter in Muswell Hill in 1999 vaguely aware of a man being berated by a red haired woman behind me. He posted a letter straight after me and out of the corner of my eye realised it was Neil Hannon of @divinecomedyhq.bsky.social (personal hero of mine)
Welcome Neil/DCHQ! Youβre in the Good Place.
Worked at a startup on my OE in London 1999 in customer service, saw a Mac G4 come into the office for the graphic designer and wanted to do that. Then saw what the html coder did and wanted to do that too. Taught myself how to make a Flash based site with something called Swift and went from thereβ¦
Very sad. Martin Phillips was a legend. So glad I got to see The Chills a couple of times but what a loss. www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...
Yeah but then youβre literally looking at a car twice the cost or more than a 2018 Leaf which you can get under 20k and theyβre just really good cars. Been to Wellington and back in ours and only have a 3pin charger at home.
Same argument could be made for the rest of Auckland and the second generation Leaf I reckon
Is this government entirely made up of psychopaths? I honestly canβt believe anyone with children or who shareβs some form of empathy for their fellow humans could support this. Will any of the 68 MPs in this unholy coalition stand against this bullshit?
Annoyed that to take my bike to the March For Nature I had to drive it over the bridge. Short on time so ferry was not an option today. #LiberateTheLane

Done. Best of luck.
Great speech from Richard Hills on the Auckland Councilβs draft GPS. So hope heβs mayor one day soon. www.greaterauckland.org.nz/2024/03/29/a...
Oh, this such a loss for the country, journalism, climate action and obviously his family. www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...
Have you read The Axemanβs Carnival yet. You could have a viral sensation on your hands
Sooo good. Now letβs ramp up opposition to this Atlas funded government for the few
Don't forget the gun laws
I know in Australia they had huge incentives a few years ago with nice buy back rates but pulled them after they had good take up. Much like the Clean Car Rebate. Probably depends on the government of the time. No idea whether they regulate quality of install or fairness of finance though.
Oh god American capitalism sucks! Iβm reading a novel by Cory Doctorow at the moment which is actually quite hopeful about the future. We had solar installed 2years ago. Used Kiwibankβs sustainably loan as the pay you back 2k over 4 years. Glad NZ regulates the market.

So all John Keyβs investment in cycleways under the last National government was wasteful spending. Good to know. Thanks Simeon. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/transport...
Looks like Morrissey has pulled out of his Auckland show this week. And with our country recently lurching to the right you'd think he'd have felt at home.
Fossil fuels, like nuclear weapons, are a major global threat. Watch this video to hearabout a proposed global framework to phase out coal, oil and gas fairly and forever.
